Frequently Asked Questions

What do the EPDs mean?

  • BW - Difference in average BW of sire vs breed average

  • Muscling - Difference in average of topline, hindquarter, and stifle ratings of offspring vs breed average

Why don't you do EPDs for crossbred cattle?

In order to apply EPDs in a better way and make the sim more realistic, we calculate the EPDs separately for each breed.
